CHAPTER 3

                                          HOW TO START SELLING

Live selling may be a real game - changer for an organization but getting in without a

framework will not provide the desired results. According to Jessica Kats, a retail specialist at
Soxy, one will need to tackle live selling in a logical step-by-step procedure.

"It may appear to be a piece of cake, but it requires dedication to make it happen," Kats

explained. "Selling through live broadcast is not the same as selling in person or through other
channels." As a result, one must use caution before proceeding." (“Soxy - Discover and Shop the

So, before starting an online store, following steps should be taken.

               1. MARKET RESEARCH:

Market research is the method of collecting data about your target market and clients in
order to validate the performance of a new product, assist your team in iterating on an existing

product, or analyzing brand perception in order to guarantee your team is successfully expressing
               your company's value.

The benefit of ecommerce is that anybody, anywhere can participate. Whether you operate a

small business or work for a huge corporation, there are several possibilities to go online and earn

a piece of the pie. However, with such a cheap gate to enter arises a crowded industry — and
finding your niche is an excellent approach to get noticed out (Farese, 2019).

                   • Consider which businesses are already competing and which industries have the potential

to grow before conceptualizing your idea.

                   • Consider which markets you already have an involvement or an interest in, and then go
                       from there.

                   • Use Google Trends or Google Ads Keyword Planner to examine what goods and services

are growing and how large the business for your niche is.

                                                                                                           25
