3. QUALITY
Given the prevalence of streaming, viewers have grown to anticipate high-quality audio
and video, as well as low latency, as a given. This assumption is magnified for presenters, whose
whole business strategy is around supplying such content to their clients and viewers. If a live
event broadcast lags significantly, has distorted sound, or is only accessible in a low resolution,
viewers' short tolerance for bad quality will swiftly take them elsewhere. This is a difficulty for
broadcasters since stream quality is dependent on several parameters that must be exactly aligned.
Furthermore, live video via the internet does not always benefit from conventional
communications technologies and equipment for more recognized broadcasters (“Livestreaming
E-Commerce: Lasting Buzz or Will It Go Bust? | CEIBS,” n.d.).
