GESTURES/EXPRESSIONS:

Nonverbal communication, often known as gestures or body language, is used by speakers

to elicit a great deal of emotion and attention. The body of a speaker may be a useful instrument
for emphasizing and clarifying their words, as well as underlining their sincerity and excitement.

Here are some pointers on how to successfully use gestures: (“Toastmasters International -Gestures
               and Body Language,” n.d.)

Eye Contact creates an instant relationship with an audience, especially when a speaker focuses

on specific listeners rather than merely looking across the room.

Control your demeanour. Mannerisms are anxious expressions that a speaker may not be aware

of, such as placing their hands in their pockets, nodding excessively, or using filler words such as
               uh and ah too frequently.

When speaking to an audience, put verbs into motion by physically acting them out with your

               hands, face, or full body.

Avoid false motions by integrating your complete body in the movement and matching your facial

expressions to it. As themes change, walk about the stage, and move toward the audience when
asking questions, establishing crucial connections, or revealing something. (“Toastmasters

International -Gestures and Body Language,” n.d)
