SETTING THE RIGHT PRICE:

There are free social media services that allow you to live stream an event for free, such as

YouTube Live and Facebook Live (other than the cost of any equipment you may have purchased
for production). These free live streaming choices may sound appealing—and they may be for a

short time—but beware: you don't get what you don't pay for. Because the platforms are free, you
will have no operational support and no one to turn to for help on how to make the most of the

platform or put together a high-quality broadcast. You're completely on your own. If you want to

provide your viewers a better experience by generating a high-quality, professional broadcast, you
should pay for a live streaming platform. (“What Is the Cost of Live Streaming an Event,” n.d.)

Live Streaming Costs: What You’re Paying For When You Choose A Provide:

When you choose a platform provider, you will be paying for two things: people and

technology. These features, however, will differ depending on the supplier you select. Despite the
fact that you're paying for it, some suppliers really give very little assistance. You may only receive

email help in some circumstances, and it is your obligation to monitor your own broadcast and

detect problems as they happen. Furthermore, many providers make bandwidth use a guessing
game by calculating an approximate monthly or event cost using a live streaming cost calculator.

(Because the more people that view a live broadcast, the more bandwidth it requires, bandwidth is

one of the most important elements in live streaming costs. (“What Is the Cost of Live Streaming
               an Event?” n.d.)

                   • WEBCAST PRICING:

                       Webcast cost normally ranges from

$1,000 to $6,500 or more. It is truly
dependent on a few distinct factors.

Because no two projects are the

                   identical, webcast production costs may
sometimes be calculated using a live

streaming cost calculator or just by

                   consulting directly with an expert.
